1. What is the REV Ads Manager?

The REV Ads Manager is a self-serve ad-booking tool enabling SMEs to advertise on selected REV digital platforms. It is powered by Dattel’s Consumer Intelligence tool, Voyager and Dattel’s proprietary algorithms for more effective audience targeting.

2. How does the Ad Manager work?

The Ad Manager facilitates your ad campaign booking by recommending the best REV websites to reach your preferred target audience. This is done by creating your market segment profile using Voyager’s Persona Analytics tool, and then converting it into REV audience segments in the Ad Manager.

3. What sites are available for me to advertise through the REV Ad Manager?

Any SME or brand that is interested in targeting the Malaysian audience can advertise. However there are some products and advertisement types that are strictly not permitted on REV platforms. These are:

REV Marketing Partners have been trained and certified to use Voyager data and the REV Ad Manager, thus ensuring that the right consumer insights are used to execute your REV ad campaign to meet your objectives.

8. What is Voyager?

Voyager is Dattel’s proprietary Consumer Intelligence tool and powers the REV Ad Manager. It serves users with valuable data and insights on the Malaysian consumer market that can be used for various marketing needs, including digital advertising.

SETTING UP A REV AD CAMPAIGN

1. What types of campaign can I set up through REV Ad Manager?

You can run campaigns with Awareness or Performance objectives. The Awareness objective means you want to reach as many people in your target segment as possible. The Performance objective means you want people to take a specific action.

2.What do I need to prepare before running a REV ad campaign?

You must have these three items ready to launch a campaign: a target audience, the right campaign creatives, and a minimum RM1000 ad budget (excluding SST). The first two can be acquired with assistance from any of our REV Marketing Partners; the latter needs to come from you.

3. How do I set my target audience?

Your selected REV Marketing Partner will work with you to define your preferred market segment. Using criteria that you agree upon, they will generate a Persona Analytics report on Voyager to profile the segment. This report details the demographic composition, lifestyle, and consumption attributes of your target segment. The report contents will be converted into audience sets in the REV Ad Manager when setting up your campaign.

4.What is an audience set?

One Persona that you create using Persona Analytics will be divided into 4 audience sets in the REV Ad Manager. These are sub-groups of the Persona to give you more precise targeting. Reaching each audience set effectively may be best achieved through a different combination of REV sites.

5.How many audience sets can I target through one campaign?

You can target one audience set per campaign. This is because Dattel’s algorithm calculates the recommended REV sites for each audience set separately for best reach. The top recommended sites for each audience set may not be the same.

6.How do I target multiple audience sets in one campaign?

If you want to run the same ad campaign for two or more audience sets, you can duplicate the original campaign and select a different audience set in the new copy. The copied campaign is charged separately.

7.Can I run a campaign for longer than 2 weeks?

While we recommend each campaign to go no longer than 2 weeks for effectiveness on a minimum RM1000 spend, you can extend the campaign by duplicating the original and changing the campaign launch date in the copy. The copied campaign is charged separately.

8.Can I choose the REV websites I want to advertise?

Our algorithm selects the best 3 REV websites to reach your defined target audience so that you don’t have to.

9.I am a B2B advertiser. Is there any relevant data in Voyager Persona Analytics that I can use?

B2B advertisers are not required to use Persona Analytics due to the nature of the target audience. Your REV Marketing Partner will discuss with you on the audience requirements to make the selection of 3 REV websites. Please discuss with your preferred REV Marketing Partner on your requirements.

10.Can I switch or add new Audience sets into one campaign?

You can create new audiences and delete audiences for a campaign before you complete the booking; however, you can only use one audience set per campaign.

11.How many types of ads can I run per campaign?

Each campaign can run with one creative only. To run two creatives with the same campaign and audience set, you need to duplicate the original campaign, and upload the second creative to the copied audience set. The copied campaign is charged separately.

12.Can I make changes to the campaign once it is launched?

Once the campaign is paid for, it is queued for programming. No further changes can be made to the campaign at this point unless required by REV. However, if you need to cancel the campaign, notify us at [CONTACT[NMN1] ]. No refunds will be made, but you will be given credits of equal value to run a campaign at another time.

13.What payment methods are available?

You can pay using credit card, GrabPay, and online banking. We also provide a BUY NOW, PAY LATER scheme at x% interest.[NMN2]  Please discuss your spending and payment requirements with your preferred REV Marketing Partner.

14.What happens if my REV ad booking is rejected?

REV Media reserves the right to reject any ad booking it receives. If your campaign is rejected, it could be due to violation of the advertising guidelines or submission of a broken URL. In such cases, you must make the amendments within the stipulated date, otherwise your campaign will not run and you will be required to resubmit a new campaign[NMN3] . No refunds will be made, but you will be given credits of equal value to run a campaign at another time.
